The novel Thethlang, which is also part of the curriculum at the undergraduate level in Sikkim, was adapted into screenplay and dialogues by Sagar Kerung, while Kishor Subba directed the film.

Belonging to the love-story genre, the tragic film features songs penned by Sagar Kerung, Dilsing Menyangbo, Yadan Sherma, and Deuman Limbu Hondok, with music composed by Mani Tamling, Kulba Subba, and Raju Angdembe. Vocals were performed by Manu Nembang, Mani Tamling, Sita Singak, Mizira Limbu, Ram Dukhi Angdembe, Bishnu Chemjong, and Yadan Sherma.

The movie was shot across several historical and scenic destinations in Sikkim, including Hee-magaon, Yumang Thegu, and Hee-manghim. Cinematography and editing were handled by Heman Yonjan, color correction by Kiranraj Thapa, background score by Mani Tamling, and choreography by Dinesh Mangmu. The cast includes Bishal Senehang, Divya Limbu, Sagar Kerung, Saran Sawaden, Sukbir Chong, among others.

Following screenings in Sikkim, Nepal, Hong Kong, the UAE, Korea, Dubai, the UK, the US, and other countries, the film has now been made available on YouTube, producer Mani Tamling informed.

After the success of Thethlang, producer Tamling is already preparing for another Nepali feature film.
